Once upon a time, a long long time ago, there was this really great Directors Chair.  It was sturdily built and extremely comfortable.  There were imposters who made cheap imitations, but nothing matched the quality of a "Gold Medal" directors chair.  Well, those days are gone and so is Gold Medal and since then we've been forced to use inferior chairs that don't hold up and aren't nearly as comfortable. 

That is, until now. Tools for Stagecraft is happy to announce that once again you can get the same exact "Gold Medal" directors chair you used to buy.  The famous Gold Medal tooling has been purchased and now director chairs are being made the way they used to make 'em--when they made 'em right. 

The directors chairs come in two sizes: Tall (30"--bar stool height) and Short (18"--regular chair height).  Four wood choices: varnish, walnut, black or white.  Canvas color choices: black, royal blue, red, burgundy, navy blue, hunter green, white, carribean green, periwinkle blue, sailor blue, and khaki (tan).

Flat rate shipping charges apply for each chair. The shopping cart and order confirmation will show an incorrect shipping charge which will be corrected later manually using the prices below. Your actual shipping charge for each chair will be the amount shown below.

Names or logos can be either embroidered or silk screened on most canvas colors (not available on sailor blue, caribbean blue or periwinkle blue).
Embroidered names are most economical. Embroidery is available in your choice of either block or script lettering / front or backside of chair / any color thread at $15.00 per line. The most popular embroidery style is block lettering (upper and lower case letters) / frontside of chair / white thread. Embroidery can be ordered separately below.

When you order a chair online, the shipping charges shown on your order will be incorrect as the shopping cart is not set up to calculate these charges.  We will adjust the shipping/handling charges manually according to the chart above when we receive your order.

Embroidery
Customize your directors chair with an embroidered back. Use block or script lettering in any of our 17 stock thread colors. When you check out, you will see a "special instructions" box. In the box, tell us:

1. what you want your embroidery to say
2. block or script lettering
3. whether the lettering should be on the frontside or backside of the chair. (we can't do both sides on the same chair.)

About 15-18 letters will fit on one line. If your embroidery will need more than one line, enter "2" in the quantity box times the number of chairs being embroidered and type your text exactly as you want it to appear. If you use all capital letters, your embroidery will be all capital letters. If you need 2 lines, type your text on two lines exactly as you want it to appear. Text will be centered unless otherwise requested.

Replacement Canvas Seats and Backs (also known as directors chair covers)

Extra seats and backs for your directors chairs are also available. They come in either in the new round stick style which is standard on all current directors chairs or the flat stick style which was used on the old Gold Medal directors chairs.

New round stick style: back = 6 5/8" high x 21 1/2" wide, seat = 15 1/4" deep x 19 1/2 " wide
Old flat stick style: back = 6 5/8" high x 21 1/2" wide, seat = 15 1/4" deep x 22 1/2 " wide
